My son ROCKS....
I heard from the baby-sitter today who is also one of Alex's teachers at daycare of a particular episode. There is another kid mathew who is 16 months and is bigger than Alex (who is almost 14 months). Well, Mathew is rather a bully. He'll take toys or roll over the other babies. Well, he tried that the other day with Alex. Mathew tried to roll over top Alex, then Alex flipped Mathew over and pinned him. Alex is definately the warlord of the infant room. Rocco (13 months) is his leutenant and enforcer too. :-)

Alex is really loved by all there. All the little girls flock to him like you wouldn't believe. (I dropped him off at daycare to today and as I'm walking up, I hear "It's Alex!" from within the infant room. One of the girls I mentioned was excited to see Alex, even though she sees him every day. I think she's like 3). Even the teachers really like him. He's DEFINATELY going to be a charmer when he grows up. Look what he can do and he's barely ONE.

He's also learning to walk (not just cruise). He's made it about 6 feet now. He's lazy and perhaps too intelligent for his own good. Meaning, he can form words and such and enunciate them quite well, but he doesn't care to talk because he doesn't need to. His needs are met. (He's always been lazy. If there is an easier way to do something, he'll do that). He doesn't fall to far from the tree there. Meaning, I think he's capable of talking but hasn't found a reason to yet, or hasn't realized that that's the thing to do. The other kids in daycare don't really talk yet(at least those in his same class) so he doesn't feel the need. His advancements do seem dependant on what he sees in school of the other kids for him to try. He should be REAL interesting when he decides to truely communicate....
